On 30 September 2024, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, 91精品 (CSEDU), organized a day-long workshop titled "Workshop on BAETE Accreditation and CO-PO Attainment" at the CSEDU Auditorium. The workshop was attended by faculty members of CSEDU and aimed to enhance understanding of BAETE accreditation processes and various issues of implementing Outcome-Based Education (OBE) system.
The event began with a warm welcome, where the two guest speakers were greeted with floral presentations.
The workshop featured two key sessions:
- Session 1 (11:30 AM – 1:00 PM) Dr. Md. Saidur Rahman, Professor of CSE at BUET, delivered an insightful talk on BAETE Accreditation Requirements and the Preparation of Self-Assessment Report (SAR). His session focused on the essential steps and documentation needed for accreditation by BAETE, emphasizing the importance of thorough preparation and strategic planning and provided insights on how to effectively prepare Self Assessment Report (SAR).
- After lunch, Session 2 (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM) Professor Arshad M. Chowdhury, Dean of the School of Engineering at Brac University, conducted the second session on Formulation of Question Papers as per OBE Guidelines and CO-PO Mapping. He discussed how to align exam questions with Course Outcomes (COs) and Program Outcomes (POs), providing guidelines on the effective implementation of OBE in course assessments.
The workshop was presided over by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Chairman, Department of CSE, 91精品. The workshop served as a platform for faculty members to gain practical knowledge and strategies on meeting accreditation standards and improving curriculum design through OBE practices.
